Here’s a newsflash for ya: Life is HARD! How Journaling May Help!

WELCOME TO JD DYOLA JOURNALS

Newsflash: Life is HARD!

Hi folks,

It’s JD from JD Dyola Journals ™ with a bit of “news”: Life is HARD!

In fact, my mother used to say, “Whenever you ask yourself: ‘Why didn’t Mom ever tell me things were going to be like this?’ Just remember, Mom didn’t know!” Then she would burst out laughing. Yes, life is also wonderful. It’s every bit worth the struggle and all that, but sometimes life is just ROUGH! In one of his famous presentations on goals,  the late great motivational speaker, Zig Ziglar, once said: “Life is not easy. Life is tough. But when you’re tough on yourself, life is going to be infinitely easier on you.” The challenges help you to grow and become stronger. One way to get through the challenging times is by journaling…

According to Experts Journaling Can Help

Susan David wrote a useful post on how journaling can help when life gets hard called You Can Write Your Way Out of an Emotional Funk. Here’s How.

Never Give Up!

A daily  journaling session can help you and me to avoid what Zig refers to as “stinkin’ thinkin’.” Sometimes, you don’t even realize how negative your thoughts are until they’re down on paper. When life gets really hard the temptation to give up on your goals might seem practical and reasonable. Don’t do it! Les Brown, another one of my favorite inspirational speakers says, “When life knocks you down, try to land on your back. Because if you can look up, you can get up. Let your reasons get you back up!” Mr. Brown suggests that you have at least five (5) reasons why you will NOT quit when your goals seem harder than ever to reach.

By reflecting on the reasons that make all the hardships and disappoints worth it for YOU, you’ll be less likely to surrender. It’s great advice! Knowing your WHYs, and having not just a solitary WHY but several compelling ones, will keep you focused when someone, shall we say, “borrows” the light bulb at the end of the tunnel!

Wishing you your best year and best journaling ever,
JD

WELCOME TO JD DYOLA JOURNALS

Most of us know how rewarding it is to write in a journal daily. In fact, there’s a good deal of research available on the benefits. Are you like me, though, and use your journal for everything…as a diary? Until recently, I use to put all my thoughts & experiences into one all-purpose notebook. Now I’ve discovered just how worthwhile it is to have one dedicated tool for different reasons. For instance, a journal exclusively for commentary on what I’m reading or solely for gratitude. Grouping similar ideas, in this way, aids in focusing the thought process, and is helpful for current/future reference.

With those goals in mind, I designed the 4-T™ “for TODAY” Journal Series, a journal series with four books. Each volume serves a different purpose: WIL-T: What I Learned…TODAY is for learning and growth; AWIR-T: About What I Read…TODAY is a reading companion (click here for one journal user’s review of AWIR-T); and WIG 4-T: What I’m Grateful for…TODAY is entirely for gratitude. Nevertheless, at times when you actually want your journal to multitask, the WAW 4-T: The Combo Journal is an excellent option to record what you’ve learned, read, and/or appreciated (see the title page to the left). Please click on each title’s image to get more information about its intended application and advantages.

A tremendous amount of love and energy went into producing them for you. I hope that you will feel that as you use them and make each one your own. Please try them and send me your comments.

Thank you for visiting, and please check out each one of my books while you’re here…er now would be a good time !

Have a great TODAY!
JD
